From the 1890's, this late Victorian photo locket opens easily for your own photos or momentos. The locket hangs from a contemporary, gold-filled chain and is great on its own or layered with other necklaces. As the locket is quite old, the monogram is intricate and could be read as a "G" an "H" or possibly an "FH".
Historic Note: Lockets were especially popular during the Victorian era when locks of hair, tiny paintings or other mementos were held lovingly inside. They typically hung from chain or velvet ribbon and gained popularity due to Queen Victoria's passion for them.
