Historic Note: "Wollo rings" are handcrafted in the Wollo region of Northern Ethiopia where they are traditionally gifted as "tokens of love, affection and appreciation." Worn on a string around the neck, the rings are often passed from mothers to daughters as a token of good luck. The brass link was "harvested" from a vintage chain.
