An antique Victorian "slider" charm, gold-filled with a tiny opal and seed pearls, is strung with Sleeping Beauty turquoise beads for a surprising combination that works! This piece looks lovely on its own or coupled with another necklace, such as our Elisa Teardrop Necklace pictured here. A generous extension chain allows you to adjust the length depending on your neckline.
Historic Note: "Slides" were popular during the Victorian Era, worn dramatically on a long double chain down the front of a dress, or tucked into a ladies bodice to hold a pocket watch.
Material Note: Sleeping Beauty Turquoise is known for it's light blue color and lack of "matrix" (marks from the rock it came from). Arizona's Sleeping Beauty mine closed in 2012 making this stone harder to find and more valuable.
